The Resolve to Finish Well

From the very beginning Daniel resolved in his heart not to defile himself and to honour the one true God. Throughout our sermon series on Daniel we have seen this resolve challenged again and again, and yet Daniel remained steadfast. It is then no surprise when we read of Daniel’s faithfulness to God even when faced with the lions’ den. His life exemplifies the very definition of integrity. Are we ready and willing to live in the same way? The Writing is on the Wall

King Belshazzar’s fun came to an end one night, when God wrote an encrypted message on the wall of the King’s palace. Daniel was the only one who could understand God’s inscription—it was very bad news for the King and just like that the King’s reign and life came to an end. What would God write on your ‘wall?’ If your life came to an end tonight, what regrets would you have?
